Factors of Influencing on Work Satisfaction of Middle-Older Aged Employee in Social Service: Applying Sociology of Labor Perspective

Using data from the survey of social job program in 2007 by Ministry of Labor, this study attempts to explore factors of influencing on work satisfaction of middle-older aged employee in social service. This study also compares with 50 to 54 aged group and 55 to 64 aged group. The study results showed that there was the difference meaning of work between 50 to 54 aged group and 55 to 64 aged group. In one group, work means an activity for survival, however in the other group, work means an activity for existence. Thus labor policy for middle-older aged employ in social service needs to design according to age-segmented labor market.
